This week was another week of only two workout days because of scheduling conflicts.
I was able to make the most of those two days though as Shawn allowed zero slack. We’ve really ramped up the intensity of our workouts the last two to three weeks. There is shorter rest time between sets and more workouts per set than we’ve ever done. We have also increased the number of rounds we are going when sparring.
With the small number of workouts I’ve really had to pay attention to what I’m eating. My wife has been killing it (in a good a way) in the kitchen lately. I really enjoy her roasted okra. She slices the okra and then seasons it with paprika and cayenne pepper. She then puts it in our air fryer, which is a great and easy way to roast vegetables, for 15 minutes. It’s great!
We spent the weekend in Charleston for our anniversary, so I may have had a small relapse from my Live Better lifestyle in order to indulge in some of the amazing restaurants they have there. Biscuits covered in sausage gravy should really be made into a healthy meal somehow…
