Hi Guys! I know it's been a while since I wrote in my blog. I just wanted to bring you up to date on my progress in the Live Better Fit program. I'm still loving my workouts at Townie! Don't laugh, but I actually ran a half mile without stopping. That's a big deal for me because when I first started I couldn't run a quarter mile without stopping. Week 6 went well. I've discovered that I really like smoothies. I don't like eating or cooking in the morning, but if I don't eat something then I'm binging before the day is over. I've been eating Cliff bars for a mid-morning or afternoon snack, and I've been getting a smoothie from Live Better partner Smoothie King or the Green Energy Smoothie from Elliano's for breakfast. Hi Guys! Week 4 was a big one! It was my husband’s birthday and our 18th wedding anniversary! We spent the majority of our time this week working to finish up a big fish pond project that we started before our St. Augustine trip. We dug the hole for the pond before we left so after we got back, we had to unload three pallets of rocks and two giant boulders. Hello all! During week 3, we went on a family vacation to St. Augustine. We rented a beach house there and it was so nice to spend quality time with my husband and son. Nutritionally, I didn't do my best, but I did manage to keep it in check for the most part. I didn't exercise as hard as I would have at the gym, but we did take long walks along the beach and spent a lot of time playing with our son in the water. Hi Everyone! Week 2 was challenging for me both mentally and physically. I had a busy week at work which made me feel drained during my workouts a Townie. I began to feel that I was doing something wrong and started to doubt my ability to do this. Running is not my strong point and I get embarrassed because it takes me longer to finish my runs than it does others. When we partnered up, I felt like I was slowing them down. The first week went pretty well for Chris and me. We both met with Hannah, the dietitian at Archbold. I went three times and Chris went four times to Townie: A Fitness Community. I love that when I go to exercise at Townie, I don't have to think about what to do because the coaches lead the workout and encourage us to push ourselves.
