ARTS & CULTURE

The local arts and culture scene is thriving. With youth and adult programming and instruction provided by the Thomasville Center for the Arts, Thomasville also boasts the nationally known Thomasville Music and Drama Troupe, South Georgia Ballet, and Thomasville On Stage and Company, which along with other local dance and theater troupes produce high-quality shows throughout the year. The Thomasville Entertainment Foundation sponsors 6 live concerts by internationally acclaimed artists, and other annual art and cultural events include the Plantation Wildlife Arts Festival in the Fall, Thomasville Antiques Show in the Winter, and Due South Music Festival in the Spring. Each month from April through November, First Fridays in Downtown Thomasville feature live music from country to blues to reggae. The annual Rose Festival and Thomasville Fly-In are also destination events.
