Camp H.E.A.L (Healing and Encouragement after Loss), is a day camp for bereaved children, ages6-12. Camp H.E.A.L. is sponsored by Archbold Hospice, with funding provided by the Archbold Foundation.
The purpose of our camp is to offer an opportunity, outside of the home and school, for children to learn about and to discuss grief issues in a relaxed environment. Trained volunteers and Licensed counselors will work with and supervise the children throughout the day. A combination of Art Therapy, crafts, hay ride and other recreational activities will be used to assist the children with their grief process. At the close of camp, a special memorial activity will be conducted. Meals are provided.
