Archbold Brooks offers inpatient healthcare services for patients needing a hospital stay to recover from an illness, injury, or surgery. Swing-bed services (often referred to as sub-acute care) are also offered at Archbold Brooks and are available for patients in need of rehabilitation and skilled nursing care to regain the independence needed before returning home.

Acute Care Services

Archbold Brooks offers short-term inpatient treatment for patients recovering from severe injury, medical illness, or a surgical procedure.

Respiratory Care
At Archbold Brooks, respiratory services are provided by licensed respiratory therapists. Our respiratory therapists focus on the assessment, treatment, management, control, diagnostic evaluation, education, and care of patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the cardiopulmonary system.

We provide respiratory services to patients with a wide variety of conditions, using many advanced therapies.

Swing-Bed Services/Sub-Acute Care

Sub-acute care (also commonly referred to as swing-bed care), is a level of care defined as comprehensive inpatient care for someone who has an acute illness, injury, or exacerbation of a disease process.

Sub-acute care is provided on an inpatient basis for patients at Archbold Brooks who need rehabilitation services that are more intensive than those typically received in a skilled nursing facility (nursing homes), but less intensive than what is required for a short-term acute care stay in the hospital.

The sub-acute program at Archbold Brooks offers patients high-quality, inpatient rehabilitation services in a professional healthcare setting close to home.
