Dog Therapy
Several studies support clinical benefits of pet therapy in hospice settings. Therapy pets can positively influence the social, physical and mental condition of patients. Interaction with these pets may lower blood pressure, rehabilitate and promote relaxation, relieve agitation, anxiety and stress in patients, and even reduce the need for drug therapy in some cases.
Interacting with a friendly animal is easy, offers relief and often leaves the patient with a smile.
