James M. Hunt, DO

About James

Dr. Hunt earned a Bachelor of Science degree in human sciences with an emphasis in sports medicine and athletic training from the Florida State University in Tallahassee. He earned a Doctorate degree in osteopathic medicine from the Nova Southeastern University College of Medicine in Davie, Florida, where he also completed a clinical fellowship in osteopathic manual therapy.

He completed an internship and residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in rheumatology at the University of Florida in Gainesville.

Dr. Hunt is a member of the American College of Rheumatology, the American College of Physicians, the American Osteopathic Association and Sigma Sigma Phi Leadership and Honors Fraternity.

Dr. Hunt is board certified in internal medicine and board eligible in rheumatology. He also holds board certification in athletic training and is a strength and conditioning specialist.

He practices rheumatology—the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal and autoimmune diseases— in Thomasville.
