Archbold Implements a COVID-19 Visitation and Masking Response Level System

As part of Archbold's COVID-19 response, effective immediately, Archbold will assign a Visitation and Masking Response Level that defines family and guest access and masking requirements in all Archbold facilities. The levels will be determined by the CDC guidelines for healthcare settings, several local indicators and data from the CDC's COVID-19 Community Levels that determine the prevalence of COVID-19 in our community. The level will be updated periodically as the data are revised.

Thomas County's current level is LOW.

Most significantly, this level will mean that visitors will have the choice to wear a mask in public spaces such as waiting rooms, atriums, lobbies, hallways, elevators and stairwells while visiting Archbold Memorial Hospital or any other Archbold system hospital, including Archbold Brooks in Quitman, Grady General Hospital in Cairo and Mitchell County Hospital in Camilla.

"We're grateful to be able to take this step towards getting back to normal," said Amy Griffin, Senior Vice President of Patient Care Services. "We're also very grateful to serve such a wonderful community who have supported us during the pandemic."

While specific restrictions have been lifted, the following policies remain in effect at this time:

Masks are required at the Singletary Oncology Center, Archbold Medical Group physician practices, upon patient request and if you have cold-like symptoms.
