Archbold Earns Top Awards

Archbold Memorial Hospital was recently awarded three Target Awards at the Georgia Hospital Association’s Society for Healthcare Marketing and Public Relations annual conference. Archbold was awarded top honors in two of three categories among hospitals statewide for entries in community relations, patient/customer relations and fundraising.

Entries were judged by a panel from The New England Society of Healthcare Communications, and were scored individually based on originality, technical quality, functionality and effectiveness.

Archbold was awarded gold in the community relations category for the hospital’s clinical outreach program, Live Better, an Archbold Medical Center-led collaborative of key community leaders and partners focused on improving the overall health of the citizens of Thomas County in Georgia.

“This is the second time in three years the Georgia Hospital Association has recognized Archbold and Live Better for different achievements,” said Mark Lowe, Vice President of Planning and Marketing at Archbold. “Over three years after we launched Live Better, we’ve made strides in meeting our annual goals through our broad reach in programs and outreach opportunities. We have an engaged community, business partners, and an outstanding advisory board. We’re very appreciative to GHA for recognizing Live Better again—they evaluate clinical outreach programs across the state—and really believe in the strength of the model we’ve created to fight obesity. It’s really changing our community, and we’re very proud of that.”

Archbold was awarded gold in the patient/customer relations category for a recent integrated marketing campaign promoting Archbold Primary Care in Thomasville. Assets for the campaign included a mix of traditional marketing, as well as digital marketing initiatives. The campaign measurement plan centered around trackable, digital key performance indicators that provided a real-time tracking of campaign performance.

Additionally, Archbold earned silver in the fundraising category for marketing collateral developed to support the hospital’s fundraising campaign for the new The John B. and Elizabeth V. Wight Inpatient Hospice Center project.

“Our entire Archbold team works diligently every day to fulfill our mission of providing the citizens of South Georgia and North Florida with high quality, patient-focused healthcare,” said Megan Powell, director of marketing and public relations at Archbold. “Our marketing department works very hard to create collateral that keeps our community informed of the work our clinicians do and the healthcare services available at Archbold. We are thrilled to be recognized among the best in Georgia for what we do at Archbold.”

“I am very proud to see Archbold recognized as the best in the state for our patient-focused marketing initiatives and our community relations efforts through Live Better,” said Perry Mustian, Archbold President and CEO. “I’m proud to see the efforts and expertise of our marketing team recognized through the Georgia Hospital Association’s annual Target Awards.”
