Expecting parents can experience a range of emotions and more during pregnancy. And whether you’re a first-time mom or an experienced parent, you know there are many new challenges ahead.
One way to ease anxiety about childbirth is to learn more about it.
Archbold’s Grady General Hospital is hosting a childbirth education class on Saturday, March 7, from 9am to 2pm.
Topics that will be covered during the class include: labor, delivery, comfort measures, epidurals and pain medication, C-Section delivery, post-partum, newborn care and breastfeeding. A tour of the GGH Maternity Center will also be given during the class.
“There are so many things that parents need to know before their child arrives,” said Alisha Gainous, Nurse Manager. “Our education class can help expecting parents feel and be prepared for their new family member.”
The childbirth education class is free, and lunch will be provided. To register, call 229.377.0253 by March 4.
