Conyers and Ellis Recognized for Archbold Leadership

Archbold recently recognized Ms. Imogene Conyers and William Ellis, MD, for their leadership and years of service as trustees of Archbold Memorial Hospital.

Ms. Imogene Conyers served as a Trustee of the Archbold Memorial Hospital Board for nine years. Her most recent term ended this month. During her tenure as a trustee, Ms. Conyers held positions as Secretary of the Board, Chair of the Nominating and By-Laws Committee, and she served as a member of the Joint Conference and Executive Committees, as well. She has also served as a member of the Archbold Memorial Hospital Auxiliary for 20 years, and remains an active volunteer today. During her time as an Auxiliary member, she has held leadership positions including President of the Archbold Auxiliary and Auxiliary District Director. She has also chaired the Auxiliary’s scholarship committee for several years, overseeing the application process, interviews and selection of Archbold Auxiliary scholarship recipients in the hospital’s service area.

William Ellis, MD, is a cardiologist and has practiced medicine in Thomasville for over 30 years. He is a senior partner at Cardiovascular Consultants of South Georgia. Dr. Ellis served terms on the Archbold Memorial Hospital, Archbold Foundation and Archbold Medical Center Board of Trustees. He also held the role of Chief of Staff at Archbold Memorial Hospital from March 2018 to March 2019. While serving on the Board, Dr. Ellis also co-chaired the Joint Conference Committee and served as a member of the Medical Affairs and Medical Council Committees. Dr. Ellis completed his term as Chief of Staff at Archbold Memorial Hospital this month.
