The human body is made for motion. But what if an injury or medical condition brings some part of your body to a standstill? One solution might be outpatient rehabilitation services.
Archbold Memorial Hospital’s Brooks County Hospital recently relocated the hospital’s outpatient rehabilitation services to 1309 W. Screven Street in Quitman, a location that jointly houses Archbold’s Brooks Specialty Clinic. The comprehensive rehabilitation clinic offers physical, occupational and speech rehabilitation services provided by Thomasville Physical Therapy.
Now accepting appointments, staff at the clinic can treat older patients, veterans, athletes, those with chronic conditions or patients recovering from injuries affecting mobility or speech. Therapists treat patients for physical side effects of neurological disease and stroke, sports-related injuries, common neck and back pain and speech disorders.
“The new facility allows us to improve the access our patients have to comprehensive rehabilitation therapy,” said Ken Rhudy, administrator at Brooks County Hospital. “Archbold’s partnership with Thomasville Physical therapy will provide effective, evidence-based outpatient therapy for patients with a variety of diagnoses.”
On Friday, November 6th, the community is invited to attend an open house at the new location of the Brooks County Physical Therapy facility. The event will be co-hosted by the Quitman-Brooks Chamber of Commerce and held in conjunction with the Chamber’s monthly Business and Bagels networking event. Breakfast will be served and the community is invited to tour the new facility.
