Archbold Memorial Hospital’s Mitchell Convalescent Center was recently awarded an Excellence in Action award by National Research Corporation of Health, an organization that focuses on post-acute customer solutions to help improve quality in all long-term care and short term stay settings.

The Excellence in Action award recognizes skilled nursing, assisted living and independent living communities that have made a commitment to continuous quality improvement and have successfully made quality a priority to better serve the needs of their patients and employees.

To qualify for the award, skilled nursing, assisted living, and independent communities must have conducted a customer or workforce satisfaction survey in 2017. Winners must also have received a minimum response rate of 30 percent and must have ranked within the top 10% of positive responses to one of two questions: “What is your recommendation of this facility to others?” or “What is your recommendation of this facility as a place to work?”

“The staff at MCC not only cares about the residents, but also each other,” said Jamie Womack, Administrator at Mitchell Convalescent Center. “The effort they put into each day speaks volumes of their character, and it’s what makes MCC a workplace of choice.”
