Archbold Now Offering No-Scalpel Vasectomy

Urology Associates of Archbold now offers vasectomies as minimally-invasive outpatient procedures that do not require a scalpel or stitches. A vasectomy offers you or your partner the option for a more permanent form of birth control.

Physicians performing the no-scalpel vasectomy create a pinhole opening instead of using a scalpel to cut the skin. From there, an instrument is inserted to perform the vasectomy. Due to the minimal size of the hole, sutures are not needed for the area to heal.

“A lot of people sometimes shy away from vasectomies, but it is a safe alternative when family planning,” said Urologist Eric Webb, MD. “We pride ourselves in staying up to date with the most advanced technology to be able to offer it to our patients.”
