Archbold Names Harding Physician of the Year

Archbold Medical Center recently awarded Physicians of the Year during the health system’s first physician awards banquet held on March 30, National Doctor’s Day. Quitman internal medicine physician Susan Harding, MD, was named by her medical staff peers as Brooks County Hospital’s Most Engaged Physician.

Dr. Harding joined the Archbold medical staff in 1988. She currently practices at Archbold’s Brooks County Hospital the North Court Clinic in Quitman.

“Dr. Harding is very deserving of this award,” said Ladon Toole, vice president for systems hospitals and long term care at Archbold. “She has served in multiple leadership roles, and always steps up to the plate for the hospital, and our patients, to make Brooks County residents have access to the high quality continuum of care they have come to expect from Archbold.”

Other award winners include:

· Archbold Memorial Hospital hospitalist and emergency medicine physician Allen Lee, MD, was named Physician of the Year for Growth

· Archbold nephrologist Merrill Hicks, MD, was named Physician of the Year for Patient Experience

· Archbold Memorial Hospital hospitalist and chief medical information officer Rudy Hehn, MD, was named Physician of the Year for Financial Stewardship

· Archbold nephrologist Daryl Crenshaw, MD, was named Physician of the Year for Community Benefit

· Camilla family physician Stephen Rubendall, MD, was named Mitchell County Hospital’s Most Engaged Physician

· Cairo family physician Jonathan Lynch, MD, was named Grady General Hospital’s Most Engaged Physician
