Gilbert “Bert” Chandler, MD, Joins Archbold and Thomasville Pain Center

Archbold Memorial Hospital and Timothy H. Ward, MD, are pleased to welcome Gilbert “Bert” Chandler, MD, to the hospital’s medical staff and the Thomasville Pain Center.
“We’re delighted to welcome Dr. Chandler to our practice and our community,” said Ward. “His expertise lies in pain problems, ranging from acutely herniated discs to cancer-related pain. He’ll be a great asset to our practice and the Thomasville medical community.”
Chandler earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from Florida State University and a medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine. He completed a residency in anesthesiology at Richmond Memorial in Columbia, South Carolina, and a fellowship in pain management at the Bowman Gray School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Chandler is board certified in pain medicine and anesthesiology and is board eligible in addiction medicine. He currently serves on the Georgia Composite Medical Board and the Georgia Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.
Originally from Tallahassee, Chandler comes to Archbold from Gainesville, Georgia, where he practiced pain management for over 20 years.
“I am excited for the opportunity to serve the medical needs of such a vibrant, charming community, as well as to return home and be close to my family,” said Chandler. “I look forward to joining the excellent providers and staff of Thomasville Pain Center.”
Dr. Chandler is now seeing new patients at the practice located in the Archbold Ambulatory Center at 947 South Broad Street.
