Tracy Gray, Chief Information Officer at Archbold Medical Center, was recently named the 2014 Chief Information Officer of the Year by HomeTown Health, LLC, an association of 70 rural hospitals across the Southeast United States.

Gray was chosen as the recipient of this prestigious award for his proven track record of providing exceptional leadership in health information technology required to achieve Meaningful Use of Electronic Health Records, specific technology-based requirements hospitals must achieve set by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Gray was also recognized for his commitment to education and the adoption of information technology best practices while encouraging technological advances for excellent patient care at Archbold.

“In this world where technology is in every part of providing healthcare services, it’s important to have a leader who takes care of business, supports his facility’s efforts and guides their path,” said Jimmy Lewis, CEO of HomeTown Health. “Tracy has led his team through the rigors of Meaningful Use achievement and has done so well and we’re proud to recognize him as our CIO of the Year.”
