Archbold to Hold Health Talk on Heart Health at Plantation Manor
Friday, August 19, 2011
According to the American Heart Association cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in Americans.
This is particularly true for those over 60, where cardiovascular disease is present 70 percent of the time.
As part of Archbold Memorial Hospital’s continuing Health Talk free community lecture series, Clay Sizemore, M.D., Archbold interventional cardiologist, will present a free community lecture titled, "Heart and Vascular Health: An Update for Seniors" on Monday, August 22, 2011, at Plantation Manor Assisted Living Community in Thomasville. Dr. Sizemore will address risk factors for and signs and symptoms of heart and vascular disease in seniors. He will also review the latest developments in interventional procedures performed to abort acute heart attacks, treat chest pain and prevent strokes and amputations.
Dr. Sizemore has been a member of Archbold’s Heart and Vascular team since March 2010, performing interventional cardiology and peripheral vascular procedures. Archbold’s Loudermilk Heart and Vascular Center is the home of Georgia Trend Magazine’s Best Coronary Intervention Program south of Atlanta.
To learn more about cardiovascular disease, please attend this Health Talk. The lecture will begin at 12:00 p.m. and be held at Plantation Manor. Light lunch will be served.
