Preparing for My First 5K

Hey everyone. It’s been a while since I checked in last, but things have been going great! I enjoy working out with my Townie teammates four days a week. I also just started running to prepare for my first 5k on September 28th. With the help of Hannah and my family, I have changed my eating habits by reducing my sugar intake and incorporating more fruits and veggies in my meals. I am looking forward to getting stronger and enjoying the live better fit lifestyle.

A Healthier Birthday Celebration

Week 4 I had my 44th birthday. I did enjoy my cake, but I am learning to limit sweets. I have found that by making the time to exercise at Townie, I am more productive and my mood has improved.

Week 3

Week 3 was challenging because we were on vacation. It was hard to eat healthy, but we managed to bring some healthy snacks. We didn’t go too crazy with unhealthy food when we ate out. We also stayed active on the beach for our exercise.

Week 2

Week 2 is going well. I am doing better with my diet. I’m trying to drink plenty of water and find quick healthy meals and snacks. I am feeling stronger and more confident in my workouts.

Week 1

The first week went pretty well for Gina and me. We both met with Hannah, the dietitian at Archbold. I worked out four times at Townie: A Fitness Community. Meeting with Hannah was really interesting and encouraging. Gina and I work a lot, so the nutrition part of the program is going to be challenging.
