Wheeler Earns National Credential
Zach Wheeler, senior vice president of human resources at Archbold, recently earned designation as Certified in Healthcare Human Resources (CHHR), a national credential granted by the American Hospital Association (AHA).
According to the AHA, CHHR professionals have expert knowledge of the healthcare environment and healthcare workforce needs, and are able to adapt the knowledge to meet their organization’s needs and goals. The designation also certifies that the professional is able to provide strategic guidance in the interfacing of HR programs and practices to meet the overall mission and vision of a healthcare organization.
Wheeler is among a small group of healthcare professionals nationwide who currently hold the certification. He received this certification by passing the CHHR Certification exam, which is designed to assess a well-defined knowledge representative of years of experience in the field of healthcare human resources.
Wheeler, who recently retired from the United States Army Reserve as a Colonel, earned a bachelor’s degree from James Madison University and a master’s degree in healthcare administration from the Medical College of Virginia. He has 27 years of human resources experience, 24 of which at Archbold.
“Zach is vital to our success at Archbold. He goes above and beyond for our employees,” said Perry Mustian, Archbold president and CEO. “Continuing education is important, and we are excited to recognize him for this accomplishment.”
