Archbold Mitchell Celebrates 75 Years of Healing

Archbold Mitchell recently celebrated 75 years of bringing hope and healing to its community.

The ground for the hospital was broken on October 4, 1948. The hospital, which was then known as Mitchell County Hospital, was dedicated and placed into service on September 11, 1949.

“I have proudly served my community at Archbold Mitchell first as a nurse, then as the Director of Nursing and now as the Administrator,” said Carla Beasley, Administrator at Archbold Mitchell. “Working at Archbold Mitchell, I see firsthand why this hospital is so important to our community.”

To celebrate this milestone, staff and the community enjoyed a drop-in-style celebration with some light refreshments.

Located in Camilla, Georgia, Archbold Mitchell is a 25-bed acute care hospital that has been recognized as a Top Georgia Hospital for stellar performance and quality measures and multiple safety awards. Archbold Mitchell offers convenient and personalized inpatient and outpatient services close to home.
