Mark Your Calendars for the Live Better Pink Run

Live Better, the Archbold-led community health initiative, is hosting the 8th annual Live Better Pink Run, which includes a 5K and 1-mile fun run for kids, to kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.

The event will help promote the link between obesity and cancer, as well as the early detection of breast cancer and overall healthy living.

“The Pink Run is one of our most well-attended events every year,” said Todd Bennett, Archbold Clinical Outreach Manager. “We’re excited to have everyone out at the Lewis Hall Singletary Archbold Cancer Center to participate in the kid’s one-mile fun run and the 5K.”

The races will take place on Saturday, September 28, beginning at 7:45am at the Lewis Hall Singletary Archbold Cancer Center.

For the 5K, awards will be given to the top finishers in each age category and the teams with the most members and the most creative name. For the one-mile, an award will be given to the overall male and female finisher, as well as to the top finishers in each age category. All participants will receive a long-sleeve Pink Run shirt.

Registration for the race is open and will close on Friday, September 13. Archbold is only accepting online registrations, and there will be no registration on the day of the race.
