Breast cancer remains the most common cancer among women other than skin cancer. It’s the second-leading cause of cancer death; about one in eight women will develop the disease in their lifetime. The disease also consistently remains one of the most common cancers treated at the Lewis Hall Singletary Archbold Cancer Center.
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, on Thursday, October 24, 2024, Archbold will host the eleventh annual Pink Affair, a benefit fashion show featuring local cancer survivors. Cancer survivors will model clothing from local stores and a celebration honoring the models will follow the fashion show.
“The Pink Affair is a fantastic event that brings our community together to celebrate local cancer survivors,” said Debbie Beeson, Founder of the Pink Affair. “We encourage any cancer survivors in our community, regardless of the type of cancer, to participate as a model.”
If you or someone you know is a cancer survivor and interested in modeling in the Pink Affair, please visit archbold.org/pinkaffair for more information, or call Debbie Beeson at 229.403.9016.
Tickets for the event will be available for purchase beginning October 1, 2024. The Pink Affair will be held at the Thomasville Center for the Arts.
Corporate and individual sponsorship opportunities are also available for the Pink Affair. For more information on sponsorships, contact the Archbold Foundation at 229.228.2924.
