Archbold Surgeon Hanisee Celebrates Surgery Milestone

Archbold general and bariatric surgeon Katie Hanisee, MD, FACS, FASMBS, recently celebrated her 500^th da Vinci robotic surgery.

Archbold launched its advanced robotic surgery program in 2011 and was the first hospital in the region to acquire the da Vinci Xi Surgical System in 2017.

“The robotic surgical program here at Archbold has allowed us to be on the forefront of minimally invasive surgical procedures,” said Dr. Hanisee. “We have been able to establish better outcomes and treatment options for patients in our community.”
