Archbold Names Employees of the Year

Archbold has named its 2022 Employees of the Year.

Tammy Barber, Assistant to the Vice President of Archbold Medical Group, was named Archbold Medical Group’s Employee of the Year.

Barber has been an Archbold team member for three years. Her nomination reads, “This is the one person throughout Archbold Medical Group that everyone counts on to put out the fires and to have the answers. We think of Tammy as the glue that keeps the AMG Administration Team, the Central Billing Office and all the Archbold Medial Group practices together in a positive and caring manner. All of her day-to-day organization and scheduling does not account for the additional thought and behind the scenes work that Tammy does to keep us all on time and ready for any task at hand. To describe her contributions is practically impossible. She goes above and beyond, and just automatically goes the extra mile because she doesn’t know any other way to operate. She consistently demonstrates a work ethic that all should emulate and works diligently to assist and find the solutions necessary to solve the problems. She is truly a team player and one whom exemplifies every qualification given for this nomination.”

“Tammy sets the bar high when it comes to leading by example,” said John Rodkey, Vice President of Archbold Medical Group. “She takes pride in her work and will go the extra mile to ensure that our staff and patients are taken care of. Her recognition of Employee of the Year is well deserved.”

Archbold Medical Group brings together over 80 physicians, advanced practice providers, and other clinical and administrative staff members to care for patients at 20 locations across South Georgia.

Tammy Little, Archbold Urgent Care Office Manager, was named Archbold Memorial Hospital’s Employee of the Year.

Little has been an Archbold team member for 26 years. Her nomination reads, “Tammy began her career here 25 years ago as a registration officer and was deservingly promoted within five years to Office Manager. Every department has their resident ‘go-to’ and she is ours. If something is broken, we go to Tammy. If something is missing, we go to Tammy. If something is not working right, Tammy can fix it. If you don’t see a solution to a problem in sight, Tammy will find one. She also fills in when needed and there is nothing she can’t do. Patients always see a smiling, efficient employee, and you hear the smile in her voice if she is taking care of a call. We, like every other department, have experienced the added stress and chaos during the last two years, and Tammy has made it her duty to do whatever she can to lighten the burden. Whether it’s helping with duties, bringing in cupcakes, running errands for us, anything to make the day a little brighter for the rest of us. She has long deserved recognition for her positive attitude, caring nature and being one of those non-clinical employees that make such a positive impact on the success of our organization and especially at Archbold Urgent Care.”

“Tammy is one-of-a-kind and a great ambassador for our organization,” said Joan Alford, Director at Archbold Urgent Care. “She exemplifies all of Archbold’s core values and qualities, and rightfully deserves to be recognized as our Employee of the Year.”

Archbold Urgent Care provides care for minor injuries and illnesses on a walk-in basis.
