Live Better, the Archbold-led community health initiative, is hosting the 7th annual Live Better Pink Run to kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.
The event will help promote the link between obesity and cancer, as well as the early detection of breast cancer and overall healthy living.
New this year, a 1-mile fun run for kids in grades Kindergarten through Fifth grade will be held before the start of the 5K.
“The Pink Run is one of our most well-attended events every year,” said Todd Bennett, Archbold Clinical Outreach Manager. “And this year, we’re excited to offer a mini-Pink Run for kids.”
The races will take place on Saturday, October 7, beginning at 7:45am at the Archbold Cancer Center.
For the 5K, awards will be given to the top finishers in each age category and the teams with the most members and the most creative name. For the 1-mile, an award will be given to the overall male and female finisher. All participants will receive a Pink Run shirt.
Registration for the race is open and will close on Friday, September 22. Archbold is only accepting online registrations, and there will be no day of registration.
