ARCHBOLD CNA TRAINING PROGRAM

The next program start date is May 2023.

Archbold Medical Center has partnered with Southern Regional Technical College (SRTC) to increase the number of certified nursing assistants (CNAs) in our system. SRTC will provide coursework as well as clinical hours required for the program. This program also includes Certified Medication Assistant training. SRTC will assist the students with required onsite testing once the program is complete.

Two (2) five-week courses will be taught each semester with a total of fourteen students per class. Students that participate in the five-week training program will be hired as Archbold employees while earning CNA credit hours.

  • Students that are selected will receive $2,700 in scholarship funds, which will include the CNA program, books and materials, scrubs and testing fees.
  • Students will earn an hourly wage while completing 150 hours of coursework and clinical hours.
  • Students will be required to work up to 4 hours per week at Archbold to meet apprenticeship requirements.
  • Students will be required to sign a contract stating they will work for the organization for two years after certification is obtained.
  • All CNA requirements outlined by the State of Georgia will be followed.
  • Upon program completion, graduates will be eligible to take the CNA certification exam to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. Once the student is certified, they will be placed at an Archbold Long-Term Care Facility. The pay rate will be increased to CNA pay. If the student does not pass, they will work at one of Archbold’s acute care facilities until licensure is obtained.
  • CNAs, employed by Archbold, depending on the facility where they are placed, will work 12-hour shifts, day or night, any day of the week, including weekends and holidays.
