Archbold has a long history of giving back to the community for the betterment of high-quality care. Founded in 1925 with John F. Archbold’s generous gift to create a state-of-the-art hospital for the people of Thomasville in honor of his father, John D. Archbold, the Archbold system has grown to become one of the leading regional medical centers in the southeast.
From that initial gift to the countless charitable donations made for nearly 100 years to this day, Archbold is dedicated to delivering the highest possible quality patient care, making use of the latest technologies, equipment, and highly trained physicians and clinical staff.

The Archbold Foundation and the Spirit of Giving
Building on the tradition of giving back, the Archbold Foundation was created in 1983 as an independent, 501(c)(3) support foundation with the sole purpose of building and sustaining a financial legacy that supports Archbold and Archbold Health Services. Since then, our community has participated by making an investment toward the future of exceptional medical care.
Our foundation helps serve the needs of several critical programs within the Archbold system. The Archbold Foundation is an independent, not-for-profit corporation governed by a volunteer board of trustees. Our primary goal is to deliver high-quality and cost-effective healthcare services in Thomasville, GA, and the surrounding areas.
Private gifts to the Foundation help fund innovative new programs, future capital improvements, new equipment and technologies, and other critical services that allow Archbold to remain a leading center of excellence for healthcare in our region.
