Archbold Medical Center Collaborates with Cerner to Enhance Patient Experience

Archbold Medical Center, serving the communities of South Georgia and North Florida for more than 90 years, and Cerner Corporation (NASDAQ: CERN), a global healthcare technology company, are expanding their longtime relationship with new technologies to enhance patient care and communications and the caregiver experience. Their adoption of Cerner Millennium® electronic health record (EHR) across all facilities will help ensure a patient’s latest health information is available no matter which Archbold facility or caregiver they visit. Archbold Medical Center is a four-hospital, three nursing-home health system with 540 patient beds and more than 2,500 clinicians and staff.

“We are excited to continue our partnership with Cerner Corporation,” said Darcy Craven, president and CEO, Archbold. “Archbold’s investment in this upgraded technology will help us continue to deliver high-quality patient care and to remain one of the leading healthcare systems in our region.”

“Our collaboration with Archbold will help them achieve the value integrated clinical systems, patient communications and revenue cycle solutions can bring,” said Steve Colucci, vice president, Revenue Cycle Solutions, Cerner. “They see significant value in our go-forward patient accounting product, Cerner RevElateTM. This will help move Archbold to a full clinically driven revenue cycle so they can improve how their care teams coordinate while giving time back to the office teams to provide better customer service experiences to Archbold’s patients.”

Archbold and its patients also will benefit from Cerner’s big data platform, HealtheIntent®, which aggregates and normalizes disparate data from EHRs, claims and other sources to create a single, comprehensive record for each patient. Cerner technology offers caregivers a complete and near real-time view of a patient’s health history. By connecting this information across all Archbold facilities, caregivers can deliver an optimal patient experience.
